It's A.......

BOY!!!

We are very excited to announce that we are going to be the proud parents of a sweet little boy in May! On December 10th, 2011 we went to a private ultrasound place with my parents and learned the good news. The  U/S was an amazing experience for me and Paul as well as for my parents. For those who may not know both me and my brother were adopted. While the method of how two people become parents doesn't dictate how they feel about the baby, it is a very exciting experience for me and my parents to go through this pregnancy together. Paul was on the phone with his mom when the U/S tech gave us the news and his family is also overjoyed because this baby will be the FIRST baby boy of his generation. Paul and I have lots of gorgeous little nieces and baby girl cousins but no boys to carry on the Woodland name. Paul's grandparents are to say the least VERY EXCITED! Grandma Lois told us that Grandpa Woody was literally jumping with joy when he heard the news. 

Since the 10th it's been a rush to get everything squared away for Christmas. My parents started us off with the baby gifts by buying a few onesies and pants to match. It is exciting to see little baby boy stuff accumulating around our house. 

Plans for the nursery are almost in full swing. Our good friend Ruth who used to work with Paul at Tiffany's and now owns her own company Ready. Aim. Redo, is helping us out. Which is a huge relief for non artistic me! We have other friends and family helping us out as well which is so nice!! 

We enjoyed a great weekend with my parents and were sad to see them go. We only let them go with the promise that we would see them again soon (Hopefully in February or March).
