Fa la la la la, la la, la, la. Christmas Mountain!

It's that special time of year when everyone goes shopping, it gets nice and cold, and Christmas music plays 24/7 on 103.3!

Paul and I truly love Christmas. It is by far our favorite time of the year, our favorite weather of the year, our favorite everything. Paul especially loves finding that amazing Christmas present that makes me squeal with delight on Christmas morning. While this year is no exception it is certainly a glimpse into our future where both of us are more interested in what we can get for baby rather than what we can get for ourselves. It's different but very welcome.

I still find myself saying "Well if we have a baby next year..." I have to stop myself and say "I mean WHEN the baby is here next year!" it's a pretty exciting time in our lives and I am feeling more and more blessed each day. At the same time, this time of year really makes me think about those that I know may not be having the time of their lives right now. My family has had a very hectic, crazy, sometimes scary, yet in the end blessed year and I can't help but feel even more empathy towards those who are still struggling at this time.

Being at church and having service opportunities sitting in front of me is so nice and yet daunting. With family, work, doctors appointments, and the holidays it's downright difficult to get out and find time to do stuff for others. I'm content for now to do my best this month to go out and visit each of the 3 women that I visiting teach and hopefully bring some Christmas cheer to their lives.

Okay, enough of the info, now on to the fun activities!

We got our Christmas tree! One week late for us but it's up and gorgeous! We returned to Christmas Mountain this year and were once again absolutely thrilled with the experience. To top it off, Paul actually won a free 6 ft tree this year! The Millers joined us this year and it was a wonderful day!

A great time was had by all! Merry Christmas all!!!!
