Christmas 2011!!!

Christmas was an amazing day. Paul and I have become used to not being with our immediete family on Christmas in the last few years because he is usually unable to get vacation from T&Co. With that said, we have come to have some amazing friends in the past few years who have made our holidays enjoyable and filled with lots of fun times and love.

This Christmas we spent Christmas morning just the 4 of us(Paul, Moona, Baby Woodland, and me). It was fun to cuddle and open our presents, talking about how next year is going to be so vastly different once Baby Woodland is here. It's all very surreal at this point.

Later that morning we went to Church in St Johns which was truly special. Christmas music was sung by all and Christmas stories were abundant. It was fun to be surrounded by friends.

After church we headed to Patrick's parents house for brunch where we spent time with Mark and Alicia (and their girls), Doug and Lesa (and their kids), Helene and Bob (Patrick's parents), and Paige and Patrick(and Anderson). It was a DELICIOUS brunch comprised of sweet pastries and a delicious quiche.

After brunch we made our way up to Paige's parents house where we got to watch her nieces and nephews open their Christmas gifts. It was a glimpse into the future and was truly a fun way to spend the afternoon. We headed home shortly after gifts to take a quick nap and get our contribution to Christmas dinner ready.

We headed over to Pagie's sisters, Ashley's house for dinner. It was a delicious meal of prime rib roast, rolls, corn, salad, and potatoes. Yummy! After dinner Paige proposed a game of "Get the oreo in your mouth with no hands....from your forehead". It was pretty funny and brought lots of laughs and was a great ending to a great day.

Christmas will never be quite the same without our family around us, but considering the amazing friends we have made over the past few years I feel pretty darn lucky.

We LOVED being able to spend another Christmas Eve and Day with you! Next Christmas is going to feel pretty different and may bring a little tear to my eye because you will have your little baby boy and your family surrounding you. Thank you for making our holiday brighter. WE LOVE YOU AND PAUL SO MUCH!!!
