The Portland Trail Blazer's played the Sacramento Kings on January 23rd. The BYU Alumni Association hosted a LDS night at the game, and my boss at Appliance Guys is apart of the BYU Alumni Association. My boss offered to pay for tickets for us to go if we were interested. We jumped at the opportunity to go to a game for the first time, and for a discounted price on top of that (we opted to upgrade our tickets to sit a bit closer).
Paige & Patrick also attended the game (since Patrick and I both work for Appliance Guys) they got the same deal. We were joined by a large group of their family and many other people that we know from the area.
The game was AWESOME. As an added perk we got to hang around after the game and go down on the court and shoot a free throw. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?
To top off a great night both Paul & Paige won something during the trivia activity. Paul won a signed Sacramento King's Jersey, signed by the one and only Jimmer Ferdette. Paige won a Trail Blazer's bobble head doll. I don't remember what player it was, but awesome nonetheless.
It was a great night with friends and something I hope we get the opportunity to do again soon.
It's pretty amazing how knowing nights like tonight will be few and far between once the baby comes can make you happy. I think a lot of people, under different circumstances would be bummed to think of missing out on fun nights with friends, however I am feeling so ready and so anxious for this little man to arrive that it does nothing but bring a smile to my face.
