Painting the Nursery!!!

When we first found out we were pregnant one of my big concerns (and before you ask, yes I know this is a little crazy) was making sure I got the nursery I wanted. I knew we wouldn't have the funds to go hog wild and buy whatever I wanted, but it was REALLY important to me to have a polished, put together looking nursery for our little man. I knew I didn't want a theme like animals or sports, but beyond that I was pretty much at a loss. When our good friend Ruth came to us and said she would love to help out, I was SO relieved. Ruth recently started her own interior design company called Ready Aim Redo. I was so excited that she was willing to help me put all of my thoughts into one cohesive design that both baby and parents could enjoy. We spend a few weeks talking over what I wanted, what she suggested, and then we both went to work pulling together stuff to add to the nursery.

We ended up going with a modern theme, that centered around the bedding I found, which i'm in love with. In the end, it took one day of Paul and Ruth bustin' their butts to paint and all of us working hard to get pictures mounted and furniture arranged. The only thing missing from the nursery as far as furniture goes is the chair we are planning on buying. We have chosen the one we want, we know where we are going to go get it, and we are just waiting until the due date gets closer.

I LOVE the nursery. I find myself going in there and just standing in the middle of the room and feeling relaxed and at peace. While I know we won't be spending a lot of time in there initially I am so relieved to know that I have a beautiful, put together room to be in when our little man is ready to be in there!

Thank you so much Ruth for your amazing input and help, we couldn't have done it without you!
