Teething, Temper Tantrums, and Three-year-olds!

I always love the beginning of a new year. I feel so motivated to get out and try new things, better myself, and to commit to new years resolutions. January was a fun month for us even though we had to get over some difficult hurdles.

Teething.

Teething sucks.

There really isn't any other way to put it that accurately describes it. I didn't get my wisdom teeth until later in life. In High School they told me that it didn't look like they were going to become a "problem". They were wrong. My wisdom teeth decided to "erupt" (that's a dentist term...) when I was 22. They continued to "erupt" until I was 23. By the time I was 23 they had not even fully made their way out. There was still a portion of the teeth that were covered by my gum. It was the most horrific year of my life as far as dental pain went. There were weeks at a time that I was dependent upon ibuprofen and was plagued with constant headaches and pain from the teeth making their way through my gums.

I will NEVER again be frustrated when my child (or any child for that matter) is cranky from teething.

I should actually count my blessings. As long as I keep up on teething tablets and ibuprofen at night he is pretty amazing when he is teething. I just can't seem to snap a picture of him without SOMETHING in his mouth. It's a constant battle.

I don't know if the constant teething caused it or if we are just "at that stage" but we have discovered temper tantrums. At this point it is not a big deal. Though it does make for adorable photo collages!

Lastly we celebrated Miss Eden Briar's third birthday! I cannot believe that this sweet little girl is 3 years old. It baffles me that time has moved so quickly. Eden had an amazing butterfly themed birthday party...complete with an awesome butterfly pinata! All who attended had a blast!
